Here’s a free gift that will get you up and running with the A major scale, on the 6th string, in the below position. It’s excerpted from some longer training videos where we go deeper, but even this should be helpful. I had a student tell me that they had heard to practice slowly, but they’d never actually practiced this slowly.

Once you have the hang of this scale position, try improvising with it as quarter notes at q = 60 and see what kinds of things you find!
